We are very sad to hear that our friend Nick has left us . We met Nick in 1978 in Ottawa while working on the development and construction of a housing co-op. We soon became good friends and , for several years, spent a lot of time chatting and enjoying his tremendous range of knowledge, generosity and friendship. We felt very close to him and, we missed him a lot when he left very without a word. We knew he did not want to say goodbye. We understood but hope one day he would find us again. He did a couple of years ago with an email we cherish. Unfortunately we understood that it was also a goodbye. The one he could not do so many years ago. Canada had not been good to Nick and he went back « home ». We loved him and think of him often. He was different, a non conformist and a good friend. We are terribly sad today but we are happy he was doing things he liked and he was « home ». Farewell dear friend, we will chat and laugh and eat and drink and talk about the world again maybe.
