Although I had only known Nick for a relatively short period of time, I guess like many others, I was captivated from the first meeting by his warmth, sincerity and generosity of interest in other people. He was a great raconteur and our business meetings and calls often went off on a tangent as he would regale me and others wwith one of his vast catalogue of stories or anecdotes. With Nick, however, nobody seeemed to mind as he combined this artistry as a raconteur with a sharp business brain that could join up ideas in an instant plus then he would devote his not inconsiderable energy and enthusiasm to making things happen. He was one of life's great characters and a positive influence on many, myself included, through the general warmth one would feel in his company and his willingness to share advice and help where he could. I will miss him.
